A number of areas at Orwell Bridge on the A12 have been identified for renewal and enhancement where assets have deteriorated or maintenance is required, including:

• Dilapidated boundary fencing

• Defective Pedestrian Rail

• Plantation maintenance

• Overgrown vegetation management

• Identification of areas and seeding of areas of species rich or wildflower grassland

The purpose behind this scheme is to enhance the area surrounding Orwell Bridge following the completion of the technology upgrade scheme, meeting several requirements that fall outside the scope of the current maintenance contract.

Enhancement of the areas adjacent to the bridge have also been identified for wellbeing benefits and ATM Operatives are currently undertaking plot thinning and various vegetation management tasks on this framework.
