ATM recently undertook critical clearance works to remove blockages from Fish Passes and Weirs for the Environment Agency in the West Midlands area.

Work included windblown tree removal, silt and general debris removal to ensure the fish passes were cleared ahead of the spawning season.

A small amount of Himalayan Balsam was hand pulled and removed from site in sealed containers for disposal.

We also proactively felled and removed some damaged trees to improve channel conveyance, and in order to minimise the risk of further blockages as we move into the winter months and high water levels.
